Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said that the budget allocation for the fiscal year 2017-18 will be substantially increased.
The Finance Minister said this after the pre-budget meeting of the 2017-18 fiscal year in the National Guest House Padma on Thursday (April 6th).
Muhith said, we want to increase GDP to 8 percent. To achieve higher GDP, there is a need for local infrastructure development. Such as the development of all road infrastructure including local road development.
In view of these developments, we discussed the increase in the allocation for the next budget.
Referring to the money spent on the MPs not to spend every year, the Finance Minister said that today's discussion does not cost about 20 crore taka properly given to the MPs.
The MPs told me that the money spent on the engineers involved in local development is not due to the trivial waiver.
In this regard, there will be guidance in the next budget.
He said the value of the dollar allocation and the money will be worked out in the next budget. In addition, the incentive payment will be given after every three months and there will be instructions too.
The matter will be surveyed about the depletion of the water level below the ground and the policies will be made regarding the installation of tube wells.
The Minister said good news for North Bengal in the budget said, gas will reach North Bengal by 2019. By 18, the pipeline will be stored for the LPG gas imported from abroad.
Referring to the MPO's expectations, there will be no good news in the next budget, he said, "I think MPO is a bad system, without the teachers, there is no profit to the organization. So there will be nothing in the next budget with MPO
The Finance Minister said that the allocation given to the district council is not utilized, they said they spend a little bit on the end of the year. Do not spend the remaining money lying down. We got to know that there is a lot of thieves here. This will stop me from my ministry.
